• HB 1398 was passed and signed by the governor this past spring. The bill requires computer science/cybersecurity to be taught in grades K-8, and to be offered in grades 9-12.
  • Schools are also required to create a computer science and cybersecurity integration plan by July of 2024.
  • In addition schools must either embed computer science-cybersecurity standards within existing instruction or require a computer science-cybersecurity course for graduation, starting with the graduating class of 2026.
