Adult Learning Centers and Adult English Learners
- NDDPI promotes and supports programs at no cost that help individuals over the age of 16 obtain basic academic and educational skills to be productive workers, family members, and citizens. Federal and state funds are granted to all Adult Learning Centers to provide free instruction in English language acquisition and citizenship skills. CATCH ND (Communities Acting Together for Change and Hope)
- CATCH provides individuals, communities, churches, and service organizations the information and support to overcome the challenges to being a welcoming community. CATCH supports the desire of refugees, asylees, and immigrants to establish roots in a new place.
- Epimonia has procured vans and recruited drivers to establish a ridesharing initiative and are expanding services into North Dakota. By partnering with various employers, they’ve developed a cost-sharing model to sustain this program effectively. The program provides reliable transportation for employee’s, ensuring they can commute to and from work consistently.
- Global Friends Coalition is a Reception & Placement (R&P) affiliate of Church World Service, a national resettlement agency. They serve the greater Grand Forks, North Dakota region. They are responsible for federally required R&P services from arrival through day 90 in the U.S. for individuals and families resettled through Global Friends.
- Global Neighbors brings individuals and organizations together to foster a welcoming community for New Americans and English Learners. Located in Bismarck, ND, Global Neighbors offers a range of services including mentorship, family support, advocacy, and public events.
- The Immigrant Development Center empowers immigrants and refugees in the Fargo-Moorhead Area to build economic self-sufficiency through entrepreneurship, financial literacy, and access to capital.
New Americans Integration Center
- The New Americans Integration Center located in Grand Forks, North Dakota supports sufficiency for families through employment, education, cultural and social support, and economic empowerment.
