The North Dakota Department of Commerce in collaboration with AARP, and in partnership with 8 80 Cities will be hosting a free virtual winter placemaking workshop on Oct. 7 from 9-10:30 a.m.
“This workshop will provide participants information and inspiration to take action on placemaking pilot programs that will promote health, happiness, and well-being for the current and future winter seasons,” Commerce Commissioner Josh Teigen said.
The interactive workshop is designed to introduce the concept of winter placemaking and placekeeping by identifying local winter assets that can be amplified in a community. Participants will learn about the power of a small and rural community, and the lighter, quicker, cheaper (LQC) movement.
Registration can be found at msnd.link/WinterPlacemaking.
